Splash: A Benefit Fun Run
Splash: A Benefit Fun Run took place on the 13th of March at the University of the Philippines - Diliman Academic Oval.
Beneficiaries of the event include Bahay Aruga, a free halfway home for children undergoing treatments at the Phippine General Hospital and St. Luke's Medical Center Circle of Hope for Ostomates.
This event is spearheaded by The Hope Project (THP) and Crossworld Marine Services, Inc. As an adopted organization under Crossworld's Charity Foundation initiative, THP brings this event to the public in order to fund a grand day out for the pediatric patients. The student-run, non-profit organization believes in the healing power of play therapy for these children and regularly conducts activities that provide psycho-social and emotional support for the kids and their families. In addition to their daily hospital visits, THP also organizes big events such as Splash to serve as fund raisers for exciting and fun-filled outings for the kids of Bahay Aruga.
In the year and a half that THP has existed, it has already touched many lives, and they hope to continue doing this in the years to come. This March, they inspired hope and spread love with Splash: A Benefit Fun Run.
